Gathered up the pup and a few essentials for a camping trip to Piney Lake for the weekend. We had a small group of about 12 people, 8 dogs. While there, I did a bit of fire spinning as well for the group. It was a great weekend, and for only having to drive about 20 minutes to reach the camping spot, I’ll definitely be hanging out here more often!

I also learned a very important lesson about fire safety. I thought it would be a great idea to strap the GoPro to my forehead and get a first-person perspective video of what it looks like to spin fire. The results weren’t as expected:

So strapping an object to my head wasn’t the greatest idea for fire spinning, and the angle of the camera was not the best to give a full view of what it is I see when I spin. I don’t think mounting to my chest would work very well, as my torso moves a lot, but I will be working on a way to display the experience I get from spinning fire.
